I love asparagus so I was surprised today when I came out in our front yard (we live off of a very busy street) and found two lonely, very tall stalks of asparagus growing about 3 inches from the street in our lawn. I think I’ll cut and eat them tonight.

How fertile the Santa Clarita Valley! I'll be really impressed if you get tomatoes next week.
