I just finished that book and found it very edifying. I was preaching on us as new Adams spreading out into the world with Gospel. Hegeman does a great job showing how the Gospel is not just about saving souls, but is also about redeeming the world. Also, his hints at what new heavens and new earths will be like actually make me want to go there. It seems that so often our view of the afterlife dehumanize us. Hegeman does a good job of showing how in the end we will be more human, not less.
